
Navibulgar (Navigation Maritime Bulgare)
In 2008 Advance Properties stepped into the Merchant Shipping Industry. The company holds a stake of 70% of Navigation Maritime Bulgare JSC (NAVIBULGAR®).
“Navigation Maritime Bulgare” JSC (NAVIBULGAR®) is the successor of a shipping company established in 1892. Its 129-year-old tradition and experience in the shipping industry inline with the international requirements and standards have turned the company into a leader on the shipping market in Bulgaria, the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean regions.
NAVIBULGAR® is a member of the Bulgarian Delegation at the meetings of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a member of BIMCO (Baltic and International Maritime Council – the world’s largest organisation for shipowners, charterers, shipbrokers and agents, representing 60% of the world’s merchant fleet) and the Bulgarian Shipowner Association.
Currently, the NAVIBULGAR® fleet includes 31 dry bulk carriers and 1 railway ferryboat. All vessels meet SOLAS standards for safety at sea and operate in compliance with the provisions of the US Coast Guard, Panama Canal, Suez Canal and St. Lawrence Seaway (Canada) authorities. The company offers a variety of options for the carriage of bulk or general cargo to all international trade destinations.
In 2021, Navibulgar Group has commissioned new construction projects for eight oceangoing eco-bulk carriers – four 32’000 DWT laker fitted vessels and four 45’000 DWT vessels respectively. Two of 32’000 DWT vessels were delivered in 2022 and the other two vessels are expected to be delivered in 2023. The 45’000 DWT vessels are scheduled for delivery within 2024. In 2022 was commissioned another new construction project for four more 32’000 DWT vessels. These vessels are again laker fitted tonnage, ready to serve the ports in the Great Lakes in North America and are expected for delivery till the middle of 2025. By this newest project NAVIBULGAR is aiming to expand further, becoming the second biggest operator in this niche market.
